Life as we knew it changed when country-wide lockdown in an attempt to prevent the spread of COVID-19 was announced. While we are only a few days into the country-wide lockdown, it’s important for us all to keep a healthy body and mind. We’ve put together a list of some important tips that can help you get through this time of house-bound isolation.
Set up a dedicated working space
You can always work from your bed or that couch when working from home. But this can prove to be an unproductive way of working. If you dont have a space set up to work from home then now is the time that you can utilize to create your own work space.
Keep a routine
You follow the same routine daily. For example-
- Set up an alarm at the same time daily.(You can add up extra 30 mins to that as a treat)
- Do yoga session or workout.
- Take a shower.
- Have breakfast.
- Read the latest news.
- Get dressed and start your work day.
- Spend the evening doing what you like.
- Go to bed.
- Wake up
This lockdown may keep you lonely, especially if you are very sociable who meets their friends daily. Thanks to technology. You can chat online and do video calls. Communication can help you keep in touch with your loved ones.
May you do just morning stretching or full-on at home workout, make sure you do some sort of exercise daily. You can use workout apps that are available online. There are many apps using which you can do the training. There are many youtubers who upload workout videos. You can exercise watching them. You can also involve your kids along. To make it interesting you can challenge your friends and family during this lockdown.
Do those things that you always wished you had time to do
Now that you have got this time because of this lockdown, start doing the things you always wished you had time to do them. For example
- Watch your favorite TV show.
- Read books.
- Spend time with kids.
- Start a new hobby.
- Do online courses.
- Do gardening.
- Start cooking.
- Clean your home, etc.
