2020 has been a very tragic year as the first case for COVID-19 was reported this year. Everyone around is talking about it and its on every news station.

The spread of this pandemic has caused a lot of stress and anxiety, especially when it comes to travelling. To keep our travelers safe, healthy and updated is our top priority. Keeping all this in mind we have gathered all the information about travel schedule before and after coronavirus (COVID-19).

What is COVID-19 or Coronavirus?

COVID-19 is an infectious virus that spreads through small droplets from mouth or nose when someone who has got the virus coughs or sneezes.

It causes breathing problems, fever, tiredness and dry cough.

The Coronavirus pandemic has thrown a wrench into the travel industry. People are canceling flights, cruise ships and other travel means. Domestic trains are being cancelled between all the cities. The centre for disease control and prevention (CDC) has sorted the travel destination into 3 risk levels; Level 1(lowest) to level 3(highest). CDC recommends the travellers to avoid traveling to the level 3 countries.

Following are basic public health guidelines to follow during travel to reduce your chances of being infected or spreading COVID-19:

  • Wash your hands regularly with soap for at least 20 seconds
  • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when coughing or sneezing.
  • Do not touch your mouth and nose and ears.
  • Follow proper food hygiene practices, especially in hostel kitchens.
